Privacy Policy

NERYUNE is built local-first. Your hydration and weight records live on your device, and the app is fully useful without an account, without registration and without an internet connection. Everything that can leave your device is optional, off by default and described below.

What stays on your device

• your water and drink log;
• weight entries;
• daily goals, their history and your settings;
• optional profile details you enter for the goal estimate (weight, height, self-declared sex or birth date).

All of this is stored and processed on your device. You can export it to CSV at any time, free of charge. Nothing in this list is uploaded unless you yourself turn on cloud sync, described below.

No ads, no trackers

The app contains no advertising and no third-party analytics or tracking SDKs. This website uses no analytics, tracking pixels or advertising scripts either. The interactive demo on the landing page runs entirely in your browser: nothing you tap in it is stored or sent anywhere.

Apple Health and Health Connect (optional)

On iOS you can connect Apple Health, and on Android you can connect Health Connect, if you want the goal and reminders to react to your real day. On Android, NERYUNE asks for read-only access to weight, steps, workouts and sleep. On iOS it asks for read-only access to weight, steps, workouts, sleep, heart rate and flights climbed. These readings are processed on your device to personalize the goal and to display history. They are never uploaded to our server and are never part of cloud sync. The integration is optional: you can decline it or revoke access at any time in the system health settings, and the app keeps working.

Weather and location (optional)

To adjust the goal on hot days, the app can look up local weather. Before any network use, your coordinates are rounded on the device to about 0.1 degree, roughly 11 km. Only these rounded coordinates are sent, and they go directly to the weather service (Apple Weather or Open-Meteo on iOS, Open-Meteo on Android). Your precise location never leaves the device, is not stored by us and is not linked to any account. If you decline the location permission, the goal simply works without the weather part.

Cloud sync (optional, off by default)

Cloud sync is a switch in Settings and it is off by default. If you turn it on, the app creates an anonymous account (a random identifier, no email and no password) and uploads the following to our server at api.neryune.tech:

• hydration log entries, including drink types and volumes;
• weight entries you logged in the app;
• profile settings: display name if you entered one, units, time zone, weight, height and self-declared sex. Your birth date is never stored on our server: if the app includes it in a profile update, the server discards it before saving.

Readings from Apple Health or Health Connect are not part of sync. You can turn sync off at any time; when you do, you can also delete the server copy. Deleting the anonymous account together with all its server data is available right in Settings.

What else our server can receive

Beyond optional cloud sync, only two kinds of data, both limited. Nothing is sent automatically or in the background without a reason listed here.

• Share cards. If you explicitly create a share card, its content (a title and the card text) is uploaded so that a link can be generated. Nothing is ever shared without your action.
• Crash reports. Anonymous technical reports about app crashes: platform, app version, an error message and a technical trace. They are enabled by default and you can turn them off in Settings at any time. They contain no name, no email and none of your hydration or health data.

Nothing else is sent. Readings from Apple Health or Health Connect and your precise location are never uploaded to our server.

Cookies and local storage

This website sets no cookies. It uses your browser's localStorage for exactly one value: the language you explicitly select. An automatically detected language is not stored.

Deleting your data

• Uninstalling the app removes all NERYUNE data from your device. Consider a free CSV export first.
• If you used cloud sync, you can delete the server copy or the whole anonymous account directly in Settings.
• Data in Apple Health and Health Connect is managed by those services and stays under your control there. Removing NERYUNE does not delete records owned by other apps.
• To delete a share card you created or crash reports, write to support@neryune.tech and include the share link if you have it. We will confirm the deletion.
